Tinsley Bridge recently completed a major refurbishment contract of two large mill pinions for the steel industry.
The top and bottom pinions have a combined weight of 31 tonnes and are destined for the UK’s largest steel plant.
A highly complex project to manufacture a set of large machined fabrications has just been completed by Tinsley Bridge. The work has taken more than 12 months and is the company's first major project for the high-end Nuclear engineering market.
The first components have been manufactured at Tinsley Bridge for the All England Lawn Tennis Club’s new retractable roof. The massive fabrications will form the roof hinge assembly in a contract for SCX, the Sheffield firm who built the existing Centre Court retractable roof. The No.1 Court roof is due to be installed in time for The Championships in 2019.
ATC has awarded Tinsley Bridge their blue category rating for suppliers performing to the best possible standard. ATC is a joint venture company between Alstom, TSO and Costain with a contract to design, fit-out and commission railway systems for Crossrail - Europe’s largest construction project.
