Electrical Technician
Group company: Tinsley Bridge Services Limited
Reporting to: Electrical Duty Holder
The Role
Tinsley Bridge Group are looking to recruit an apprentice trained qualified electrician. The successful candidate will work within a team whilst demonstrating personal drive and motivation to deliver results.
They will require an hands on approach and a working knowledge, operation, inspection, testing and maintenance of:
- Electrical distribution systems
- High Voltage experience/understanding advantageous
- Electrical control of medium to heavy machine tools that include furnace control, Shotblast machines, grinding machines, milling machines, power presses, powder paint plants, CNC centres and Robotic equipment
- Ability to understand electrical control system Schematics, with the ability to modify or create new as required
- Able to fault find on and write programs for Siemens – Mitsubishi PLC control
- Heavy experience and fully conversant with CNC Machining centres including interrogation of Siemens – Fanuc – Heidenhain systems for maintenance and fault finding analysis purposes

- Capable of identifying root cause failure and corrective action
- Committed to change and continues improvement
- Experience in developing planned maintenance schedules
- Willingness to help develop our younger electricians and apprentices by working alongside them to give help and advice to develop their skillsets
- Be coherent with basic pc based software packages such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint,

Qualifications Required
The chosen candidate will be apprentice trained and qualified to a minimum City & Guilds in an appropriate electrical discipline along with further training on control systems and to include good English and maths skills.

Your role will be to operate various CNC vertical machining centres within the Production Facility.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Operation of Doosan, Dahli, Hartford, Kiheung and Kia vertical milling machines; to high standard of quality and productivity.

- Maintenance of shop floor housekeeping standards.

- Ability to program writ on several CNC machines from customer drawings in Siemens and or Fanuc programming languages, additionally knowledge and experience with Heidenhein language would be beneficial.
- Ability to review/ develop existing programmes to reduce time and costs.
- Proven ability to read and interpret complex product drawings including geometrical tolerances and symbols for machining.
- Proven ability to work to tight, accurate tolerances.
- Ability to operate 1 or 2 machines where safe and practicable or work within a cell operation.
Desirable:
- Apprenticeship or Engineering qualification – Either NVQ/ONC/HNC/HND
- Previous experience in a steel machining precision environment.
- Previous Machine Knife manufacturing experience advantageous.
Working Location & Travel Requirement
Should be located or be prepared to re-locate to within a reasonable commuting distance from Sheffield.

- Ability to operate 1 or 2 machines where safe and practicable or work within a cell operation.
- Experience of hard grinding i.e. HRC> 45
Desirable:
- Apprenticeship or Engineering qualification – Either NVQ/ONC/HNC/HND
- Previous experience in a steel machining precision environment.
