The Big Bang Fair is organised by Engineering UK to celebrate children’s achievements in Science, Engineering, Technology and Maths (STEM). Around 4500 school children attended the Yorkshire & Humber event.
The chocks form part of the rolling mill structure operating in a large European steel manufacturing plant. The project required Tinsley Bridge’s specialist expertise in the repair and overhaul of large, heavy industrial steel and quarry processing equipment.
Tinsley Bridge recently completed a major refurbishment contract of two large mill pinions for the steel industry.
The top and bottom pinions have a combined weight of 31 tonnes and are destined for the UK’s largest steel plant.
