FabBloc60A
FabBloc60A, a high performance, lightweight fire and insulation barrier system designed to give unrivalled 60 minute fire protection to railway carriage flooring. FabBloc60A stops the transfer of heat from its source to the underside of the aluminium decking or floor.
The FabBloc lightweight inner layer is a 100% aramid fibre yarn, in a non-woven blanket form that absorbs the heat, keeping the upper decking cool and reducing heat transfer to the floor above.
Fire resistance is tested according to BS6853 & EN1363 and thermal insulation is tested to BS476:Pt.20. FabBloc60A also offers excellent acoustic properties measured according to ASTM C384.
Rail Infrastructure
Our proven capability in design and rail engineering combines extensive capabilities, technical development with world class quality control, supplier development and logistical capabilities.
We are a Network Rail approved contractor for safety critical track work.
- Infrastructure systems including gantries and bridges
- Trackside steel work
- Trainwash systems
Tubular Stretcher Bars
Developed for greater safety, improved performance and reduced whole-life cost, the new design is introduced nationally across the UK rail network. The new Tubular Stretcher Bars, which keep the switch rails in the correct position under the passage of a train, are simpler to install, require less maintenance and are designed to withstand the rigours of the 21st century railway.
This project has followed a ground-breaking, rigorous process to ensure that completely redesigned safety-critical equipment can be successfully introduced onto the passenger carrying railway. This design has been developed and tested under the most challenging conditions, safely supporting 91 million tonnes of traffic in a testing environment before being introduced onto the UK rail infrastructure.
