Defence Secretary Visits Tinsley Bridge

After a recent visit by Defence Secretary Sir Michael Fallon, Mark Webber spoke of a bright future for steel and the wider engineering industry in Sheffield, where the firm began life more than 150 years ago. "There's the opportunity to develop this advanced manufacturing cluster around this side of Sheffield, which I think bodes very well for the future of manufacturing in Sheffield," he said.

The visit happened last December and recognized the innovative contribution made to the UK’s defence by Tinsley Bridge Group. The Defence Secretary learned about the life saving improvements to the Warrior Infantry Fighting Vehicle developed and tested in just five months by the Group working in partnership with BAE Systems.
