BS EN 1090-2 Compliant Contract for Crossrail

Tinsley Bridge has started delivering orders for ATC as part of their work on the Crossrail project. One of these contracts is to supply 748 duplex stainless steel, precision machined fabrications, that are used in floating track slabs.

Tinsley Bridge Operations Director, Kevin Charlesworth said, “Manufacture of the Duplex stainless steel fabrications is required to the highest standards. Tinsley Bridge is certified to BS EN 1090 execution class 4 which is the highest CE mark category for structural steel fabrication and exceeds ATC project requirements.”

In addition, 100 bridges that allow the multi-purpose gantry to operate across gaps in the concrete foundations are being supplied to ATC, as well as 3000 stainless steel baseplates and steel work used as part of the tunnel construction.

ATC is a joint venture company between Alstom, TSO and Costain.
