School Children Ambassadors – Case Study

Tinsley Bridge Finance Director Barry Cunliffe explains his Business Champion role supporting school children in the Better Learners Better Workers Ambassador Scheme.

The aim of the Ambassador scheme is to help school children develop their skills and gain industry experience. As Business Champion Barry provides a link between the children, their schools and companies in manufacturing engineering to help give the Ambassadors opportunity to apply theory learnt in the classroom in real life engineering.

Barry Cunliffe said “The programme is important as it not only develops specialist skills in business and engineering, but also core skills and personal characteristics necessary to prepare for the world of work. The Better Learners Better Workers Ambassadors also become a role model to other children within their school”
