1000 Tonne Test Rig Investment

Tinsley Bridge have recently installed a new £50,000 cell used to test Roll Load Capsules

Roll Load Capsules (AGC’s) are used inside steel mills to control the steel rolling process. Hydraulic rams apply over 1000 tonnes force during the rolling of red hot steel to achieve the high dimensional accuracy required for the rolled billet.

The new test rig was designed to withstand the large forces required to test and certify AGC’s in the Tinsley Bridge factory at the working pressures used within the steel mill.

Tinsley Bridge are able to carry out full refurbishment of steel mill AGCs including re-chroming, precision grinding large cylinders and upgrading ACG systems including servo valves and positional transducers.
