The 6 of May was a milestone day for the Group as work began on the first phase of a three stage plan to radically improve the manufacturing facilities and offices at Shepcote Lane. The first new building will take approximately 44 weeks to complete.

The new building, made possible by funding and support from the LEP, the Regional Growth Fund, and Creative Sheffield, marks an investment in more than the building itself. It represents a commitment to manufacturing in Sheffield for the next 10 – 20 years and is a vote of confidence in Tinsley Bridge’s strategy of growth based on innovation, research and technical excellence.

“We are engaging a unique opportunity to create a world-class manufacturing centre that will deliver a step change in our capabilities, support continued growth in product innovation and engineering excellence, and provide new benefits to our customers” said Mark Webber, Managing Director.

When the construction work is completed, Tyzack Machine Knives will be the first division to move into the modern premises which will provide a 21st century manufacturing environment, reflecting the Group’s forward looking culture.
