Tinsley Bridge have recently received an order from Universal Coatings UK for the design and manufacture of a 15 tonne swing bridge crossing the Leeds and Liverpool canal.

Tinsley Bridge have recently received an order from Universal Coatings UK for the design and manufacture of a 15 tonne swing bridge crossing the Leeds and Liverpool canal.

The swing bridge is 11.8m long and measures 3m in width – making the fabricated structure weight 15 tonnes. The complex design requires manufacture to exacting tolerances including the pintle pivot, locking mechanism and damper assembly. The project was completed in accordance with BS EN 1090 quality assurance system.

Tinsley Bridge are accredited execution class 4 which is the highest and most demanding level of quality assurance within the BS EN 1090 standard.

By completing the project from design and creation of all manufacturing drawings, Tinsley Bridge were able to provide a full turnkey solution, completed on time and to budget.
