Tyzack Machine Knives have recently completed an order to supply precision ground slideways to support the UK’s growing prestige car industry .

The Tyzack slideways are used in very large industrial machine tools used to achieve extreme machining precision. The tolerance capability provided by Tyzack slideways enable machining accuracy beyond that possible using linear bearings in the machine tool. Cutting tools can then be positioned within microns over large distances.

The slideways have been produced for German machine tool builder Niles Simmons. The slideways delivered to Nile Simmons are part of new machinery that will be used to grind engine crankshafts at Jaguar’s UK manufacturing plants.
