Tinsley Bridge Podium In Vittorio Veneto Race

Turn the music up! ............. Tinsley Bridge’s Guido DeRege has finished on the podium in Italy’s prestigious Vittorio Veneto race.

Driving a historic racing car, a 1997 Porsche 911 SC with a 3 litre 290bhp engine, Guido tamed the 6.4km twisting mountain course to finish 2nd in a time of 4’05”. Competitors compete over two timed runs to achieve the fastest time of the course .

The event places high physical demands on the drivers. Guido explained “In addition to the challenge of driving a high performance car on the limit over such a challenging race circuit, temperatures inside the car reached 54⁰C – creating a fully tropical experience”.
