On the 21st June, Tinsley Bridge hosted an event to commemorate International Women in Engineering week. The National College for High-Speed Rail teamed up with Tinsley Bridge to mark the occasion, hosted by BBC business presenter Steph McGovern, designed to engage and inspire the schoolgirls of Sheffield.

We were delighted and honoured to win two awards at the 15th Sheffield Business Awards, presented by BBC’s Harry Gration in front of 750 people, last December. Winning two awards in one night was doubly rewarding as there were a record number of entries for the 2016 competition.

Defence Secretary Visits Tinsley Bridge

After a recent visit by Defence Secretary Sir Michael Fallon, Mark Webber spoke of a bright future for steel and the wider engineering industry in Sheffield, where the firm began life more than 150 years ago. "There's the opportunity to develop this advanced manufacturing cluster around this side of Sheffield, which I think bodes very well for the future of manufacturing in Sheffield," he said.

The 2016 Northern Auto Alliance (NAA) Awards were held in Manchester, this year. The awards showcase excellence and advances in vehicle manufacture and supply chain logistics, in the region. Over 270 member organisations were represented at the dinner and the keynote speaker was Lawrence Davies MBE, CEO of the Automotive Investment Organisation (AIO).

BS EN 1090-2 Compliant Contract for Crossrail

Tinsley Bridge has started delivering orders for ATC as part of their work on the Crossrail project. One of these contracts is to supply 748 duplex stainless steel, precision machined fabrications, that are used in floating track slabs.
