Tinsley Bridge Group employs over 160 people across the three companies. Many of our specialists have unique engineering skills and experience developed from a life time in a company which is proud of its engineering heritage. These skills complement our innovative and design led approach to deliver outstanding results.
The Group runs a traditional apprenticeship scheme and a graduate recruitment programme to ensure that we continue to develop traditional skills and talented engineers for the future.

Joined TB in 1989 working on purchasing, logistics and IT and became a Director in 1990. From 1997-2001 took the role of Managing Director at another family firm, producing agricultural wearing components, growing their export business by 300%. He rejoined the Tinsley Bridge Group as Managing Director in 2001.

During a traditional engineering apprenticeship, Kevin gained his ONC and HNC qualifications in Mechanical & Production Engineering then becoming a Machinist/ Fitter until he joining Tinsley Bridge in 1989 as a Tool/Product Design Engineer.
Here he fulfilled several roles in Customer Services, Business Development and in Production. He then became works manager and was appointed Production Director in 2001. After his MBA in 2007, Kevin was seconded to India working on a joint venture development project, returning to Tinsley Bridge in 2009 as Group Production Director.

Barry trained as a Mechanical Engineer and worked at Doncaster’s Sheffield Ltd as a Product Development Draughtsman and Project Engineering Draughtsman.
He joined Tinsley Bridge in 1981 as a Tool Design Engineer, then Production Engineer before moving into the Quality Manager role in 1990.

Martin joined Tinsley Bridge in 1986 as a Design Engineer for vehicle suspensions. He spent time in Production Engineering and as a Team Leader in Business Development, becoming Sales and Marketing Manager in 1999.

Quality with competitive rates and delivery on time are required to meet the high demands expect by our customers. The devil is in the detail from employee’s personnel protection equipment to 4,000 tonnes of steel the variety and different every day challenges are what make the job so enjoyable.
Chris has been at Tinsley Bridge for 32 years - all his working life.
He started as an apprentice in 1979 at British Steel Corporation gaining experience in the whole steel making process before working in purchasing, planning and sales.
By the time he was 23 he had become purchasing manager, in 1994 the logistics function was moved under is control and in the future one of the key tasks will be to bring together group purchasing for the three companies on site.

For 10 years chaired a The Cambridge Vehicle Dynamics Consortium in which TBG work with alongside Cambridge University professor David Cebon. Also represented are Camcon, Denby Transport, Firestone, Goodyear, Haldex SIMPACK, Mektronika Systems, MIRA, Poclain Hydraulics, Tridec BV and Volvo Trucks and Shell. “Combining this calibre of knowledge and experience is enlightening and also highly productive. We have the brainpower and the means to create and produce new innovations.”
Started as a graduate trainee at British Steel Corporation in Rotherham in 1973 and joined Tinsley Bridge in 1977.
David began as a Maintenance Engineer, moving up to Engineering Manager, becoming the Engineering Director with the MBO in 1987 and finally the Technical Director in 1991.
David oversees Tyzack Knives and also manages IT and HR across the whole business, as well as product and process development.

Chris worked for British Coal for 19 years as a mining apprentice before progressing to the coal face and then into hydraulics. In 1994 he joined Tinsley Bridge Ltd (Suspensions) looking to a new career and having started as a production operative has since worked his way up to Operations Manager.
